the sudoku cult

I’m aware of this game long time ago and know that it is a craze overseas and perhaps here in Malaysia. Do you realize that even Star paper has eliminated the crossword puzzle section and replace it with Sudoku at the comics section? I suppose the papers also have to keep up with the trend. But like I have said before, I’m always slow to catch the trend. I only caught this Sudoku flu like last week when I was in Kluang.

It’s a game with fairly simple rules but requires a lot of thinking in order to complete the game so only the brainier ppl with guts, like me (just joking), can play it. That’s why you don’t see ppl like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera or Paris Hilton (Ok, I know I’m criticizing on her a lot) playing it cuz they are dumb blonde. Imagine if they play it, I doubt they will ever solve any of the puzzles. This game initially became popular in Japan during the 80’s, now has become so widely popular that a lot of people is clamoring to get at the puzzle. This game can be viciously addictive, I think.

Now, I play it at home and even on the lrt, if you see a girl carrying a flimsy piece of paper with sudoku in the lrt most likely that can be me. I even play this game at my workplace but of course only during times when I’m free. The fact that this game makes my brain twist and turn interests me a lot. I seem to have got hooked to this game so much so that I even dream of solving sudoku in my brain (see… my brain works all the time and I use my brain damn a lot also).

I wonder will there be a day when I become a Sudoku guru and have ppl to come and “Oommm” me… hehe… ok I know I’m thinking too much.
